Author Guidelines

Introduction and Aims ADSJAC publishes original, previously unpublished research that has not been submitted elsewhere. These guidelines describe the formatting, ethical, and procedural requirements all submissions must meet.

Article Types and Word Counts

Language and Writing Standards Manuscripts must be submitted in clear, grammatically correct English (US or UK spelling, used consistently). Non-native English speakers are encouraged to have manuscripts professionally edited prior to submission.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, continuous line numbering, A4 or Letter page size, pages numbered consecutively.

Title Requirements Concise and specific, ideally under 20 words, accurately reflecting the paper's content; avoid abbreviations in the title.

Author Names and Affiliations Format Full name, department, institution, city, country, and corresponding author's email, listed for every author in submission order.

ORCID Requirement All authors are required to provide a valid ORCID iD (https://orcid.org) at submission, linked to their author account.

Abstract Structure 150–250 words, structured as: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion (for original research); a single unstructured paragraph is acceptable for reviews.

Keywords Requirements 5–8 keywords, specific to the paper's content, avoiding generic single-word terms; separate with commas.

Main Body Structure

• Introduction: states the research problem, background, and objectives.
• Literature Review: situates the work within existing scholarship (may be merged into the Introduction for short papers).
• Methodology: describes data, methods, models, and tools in sufficient detail for reproducibility.
• Results: presents findings objectively, using tables/figures as needed.
• Discussion: interprets results, states limitations, and compares to prior work.
• Conclusion: summarizes contributions and suggests future research directions.

Acknowledgements Optional section recognizing non-author contributors, technical assistance, or institutional support.

Funding Statement (required) Example: "This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors." or "This work was supported by [Funder Name] under Grant No. [XXXX]."

Conflict of Interest Statement (required) Example: "The authors declare no conflict of interest." or a specific disclosure if one exists.

Data Availability Statement (required) Example: "The datasets used in this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request." or "Data are publicly available at [repository link/DOI]." — "None" alone is not an acceptable statement; authors must state why no data are shared if that is the case.

Author Contributions (CRediT) (required) Example: "Conceptualization, A.B.; Methodology, A.B. and C.D.; Formal Analysis, C.D.; Writing – Original Draft, A.B.; Writing – Review & Editing, C.D.; Supervision, A.B."

References Style ADSJAC uses numbered Vancouver/IEEE style, cited in order of appearance as [1], [2], etc.

Figures Requirements High-resolution (≥300 dpi), numbered sequentially, captioned below the figure, referenced in text in order.

Tables Requirements Numbered sequentially, titled above the table, editable format (not images), referenced in text in order.

Equations and Mathematical Notation Numbered sequentially in parentheses on the right margin; variables defined at first use.

Abbreviations Policy Defined at first use in the abstract and again at first use in the main text; a list of abbreviations may be included for papers using many terms.

Ethical Requirements Studies involving human subjects must state IRB/ethics committee approval and informed consent. Studies involving animals must state compliance with relevant animal welfare guidelines.

AI-Generated Content Policy Authors must disclose any use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) in manuscript preparation in the Acknowledgements or Methods section, specifying what the tool was used for. AI tools may not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of all content, including AI-assisted text.

Plagiarism Policy and Threshold All manuscripts are screened with [PLAGIARISM TOOL NAME]; a similarity index above [X]% (excluding references and quotations) requires revision or results in rejection.

Supplementary Materials Additional datasets, code, or extended results may be submitted as supplementary files and will be linked from the published article.

Author Guidelines

1. Manuscript Types

• Original Research Articles (max [8,000] words)
• Review Articles (max [10,000] words)
• Case Studies / Applied Industry Reports (max [6,000] words)
• Short Communications (max [3,000] words)

2. Formatting Requirements

• Manuscript template: [link to downloadable Word/LaTeX template]
• Citation style: [APA 7th edition / IEEE — choose one and apply consistently]
• Font: 12pt Times New Roman or equivalent, 1.5 line spacing, numbered pages
• Structured abstract required (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) for original research, 150–250 words
• 4–6 keywords
• All figures/tables numbered and captioned; high-resolution (300 dpi) images required for final acceptance

3. Submission Requirements

• All authors must provide full institutional affiliation and a valid ORCID iD
• A cover letter stating the significance of the work and confirming it is not under review elsewhere
• Disclosure of any conflicts of interest and funding sources
• Data/code availability statement

4. Peer Review Process

• ADSJAC uses double-blind peer review with a minimum of [2] independent reviewers per manuscript

5. Publication Fees

• Authors retain copyright of their work and grant ADSJAC a license to publish under a [Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 — recommended for open access credibility] license, allowing free reuse with attribution.

7. Plagiarism Screening

• All submissions are screened for originality prior to review (see Publication Ethics statement).
